Steve Broder

Steve has extensive experience in all phases of M&A and is a seasoned Valuation professional. His career history includes positions as Financial Analyst, Valuation Analyst, Financial Planning Manager, and Director of Business Analysis with NYSE-listed corporations, and Advisor to and President and General Manager of small businesses. His work experience includes the beverage and restaurant industries.
Currently, Steve assists owners of small businesses and professional services firms in matters of acquisitions, divestitures and exit planning, and in issues related to value. He often works with business owners’ other advisors such as attorneys, CPAs, insurance professionals, investment advisors and bankers to develop optimal client solutions. Currently, Steve’s primary focus is on the preparation of business valuations which are used for such purchase purposes as Buy/Sell Agreements, Charitable Contributions, Gifting Programs and Gift Taxes, Estate Planning and Succession/Exit Planning.
Steve received an undergraduate degree in Finance, Summa Cum Laude, from the University of Wisconsin at Green Bay, Wisconsin, and received a Master of Business Administration, Dean’s Merit Award for Outstanding Achievement, from Texas Christian University, Fort Worth, Texas. He is a Certified Valuation Analyst (CVA) and a Certified Exit Planner (CExP) and is a member of the National Association of Certified Valuators and Analysts.
Mike Skowronek
President and Founder of American Restaurant Valuators
Mike’s work experience includes a banking career that spanned over thirty years. He has extensive experience in all phases of commercial banking including operations, management and commercial lending. His career history includes positions as President and CEO, Director, Regional CEO, EVP and Chief Credit Officer for community and regional banks located in Texas.
Currently, Mike assists owners of small to medium size privately held companies in matters related to the value of their companies. He focuses on particular owner needs and works with other owner advisors such as business attorneys, CPAs, insurance professionals, investment advisors and bankers. Mike focuses on the preparation of valuation appraisals, exit plans and mergers & acquisition advisory activities in relation to business sales, purchases of other businesses, and the capitalization needs of his clients.
Mike received his Master of Business Administration from Texas A&M University in 2004. He also graduated from the Southwestern Graduate School of Banking at Southern Methodist University and received a Bachelor of Arts from John Carroll University. Mike is a member of the National Association of Certified Valuators and Analysts. He also sits on the advisory board for the Executive MBA program at Texas A&M University.
